Interest Loans

Student loans are available to help you pay tuition at any Spencerian College campus. These loans are available from the federal government and other sources for students who qualify. The most popular student loan programs are as follows:

  • Federal Direct Parent and Student Loans – low-interest loans for students and parents
  • Federal Subsidized Loans – providing up to $3,500 the first 46 credit hours (and potentially more thereafter)
  • Federal Perkins Loans – providing up $5500 per academic year, for students who demonstrate need
  • Federal PLUS and Federal Unsubsidized Stafford Loans – A subsidized loan is awarded on the basis of financial need. If you qualify for a subsidized loan, the federal government pays interest on the loan until you begin repayment and during authorized periods of deferment thereafter. An unsubsidized loan is not awarded on the basis of need. If you qualify for an unsubsidized loan, you will be charged interest from the time the loan is disbursed until it is paid in full.
  • Career Education Funds – institutional loans for students who don’t qualify otherwise for adequate financial aid. The loan amounts vary according to need.
